  Deb Adams has been a clinician at The Reading Clinic, Inc. since 1996.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Northern Colorado in 1976. She received a Masters of Arts degree from UNC in Special Education in 1978.  Deb has worked with elementary, middle and high school students in the public schools as a Resource teacher for the past 27 years.
  Jan Coffey worked in a tutoring program for K-8 students from 1998-2003. She diagnosed reading difficulties, designed individualized lessons, and taught in a one teacher to one student learning environment. Jan and her husband moved to Loveland several years ago to be close to their two children in Denver. She enjoys all aspects of teaching, particularly motivating children to develop a love of reading. Besides spending time with her family, Jan enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, traveling, and, of course, reading. Jan has taught children and adults of diverse abilities in a variety of settings. She started teaching special education in a K-8 resource program in the Iowa public schools. She developed a positive learning environment for students, collaborating with parents and teachers on the needs of each student. She received a master’s degree in learning disabilities in 1989 from Iowa State University. Jan also taught for two years at the American Reading Academy in Des Moines, Iowa, working with children and adults on speed-reading techniques and comprehension.
  Mike Foster graduated from the University of Colorado with a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 1994.  He also has Bachelor of Arts Degrees in German and International Affairs.  Mike was a Fulbright Scholar to Germany in 1990.  In addition to teaching, he has been the Operations Manager for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, Chief Program Manager for the Oklahoma State Testing Program, and Director of Technology for the Schertz-Cibolo-UC School District.  Most recently, he represented Colorado in Washington, D.C. at the National Assessment of Educational Progress in February 2010 for the math item review. Currently, Mike is a middle school teacher in the Poudre School District.  He has taught elementary and middle school grades in Texas and locally since 1994.  At The Reading Clinic, Mike has a wide range of teaching skills, including helping high school students prepare for the Math and Science sections of the ACT. 
  Ericha Jaeger graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with her Bachelors Degree in Special Education as a Generalist K-12 certified teacher which qualifies her to teach all areas and ages of special education. Ericha has a minor in American Sign Language.
  Pat Fossen graduated from Moorhead State University in Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1966. She obtained her Master’s degree in the spring of 1993 in Educational Leadership.  Pat continued taking coursework after receiving her Master’s degree, taking coursework which focused primarily on reading instruction, brain research and developmental learning. Pat has over thirty years of teaching experience in Minnesota, Vermont, New Hampshire and Colorado.
  Bonnie Rowland graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado specializing in reading and minoring in social sciences/anthropology.  While teaching elementary school in Loveland, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy.  After receiving her Master’s Degree, she became an Adjunct Professor in the reading program at University of Northern Colorado developing classes in Children’s Literature and Reading/Literacy.  She has been involved with numerous literacy committees and professional development for Namaqua Elementary School and Thompson School District.  Early in her career, Bonnie owned and was the co-director of Childwood Preschool for ten years.
  Leatrice Tacha, received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, a minor in Reading, and a license to teach from Metropolitan State College of Denver. As a part of her Reading minor before coming to the Reading Clinic. She tutored students in one-to-one instructional sessions in literacy development. She administered diagnostic assessments that were interpreted and used to plan and implement effective tutoring sessions. Leatrice’s strong interest in helping students to improve their reading skills led her to help with the Grand Lake Elementary Reading Recovery Program. Since moving to Loveland, she has worked at the Reading Clinic, has been a First Grade Intensive Reading Teacher at Mary Blair Elementary, and has become a Certified Reading Recovery Teacher. After four years at Mary Blair Elementary, she went to work at Lincoln Elementary where she has taught Reading Recovery as well as First and Second Grade. Her goal is to develop individualized reading and writing programs that provide accelerated academic success. Most importantly, Leatrice hopes that all her students will develop a life-long love of reading.
  Nancy Townsend received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1975 from the State University of New York at Geneseo with an emphasis in Special Education.  She received her Master’s degree in Reading at the same university in 1978.  Nancy has taught reading for more than 30 years, working with both the school-age population and with adults. Nancy is the owner and director of The Reading Clinic, Inc. which was founded in 1990.
